THE NAME MONTESSORI PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE . is derived from Maria Montessori of Italy who was the first Doctorate Woman in Italy famous in developing educational materials and methods based on her belief that children learn best by doing, not by positively accepting other people's ideas and pre-existing knowledge. This was considered to be an innovative concept. Also, this idea of learning used to promote active personal pursuit of many different experiences: physical, social, emotional, and cognitive. With these materials, Montessori devised an environment in which such learning could be created. And thus, she opened her first school in 1907. Since then, Montessori schools spread throughout Europe, Canada, United States of America, Australia and Asia, which includes the Philippines.

The President and its founder, Bro. Danilo Magsino Dy, founder of MONTESSORI PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE has quite a number of accomplishments in life - as an educator and as a businessman. He envisions to provide the youth with a better future.

His great love and concern is education, which leads him towards community assistance to the youth,
most especially to the least privileged members of the society. The founder reflected and inspired
by the idea of opening a school patterned after the Montessori Schools in the United States of America, has established the Montessori Professional College International.

This aspiration to open a school became a reality in 1997 when MONTESSORI PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE, Recto branch formerly Espana branch was opened and was given a government permit to operate during the School Year 1997-1998. A year after, another branch was opened in Metro Manila and in different provinces.

The College Seal

THE MPC seal consists of a half-sun with seven rays which is a powerful and universal symbol of growth and excellence. The Globe Circuit reveals the essence of education as exemplified in Science and Technology, the spirit upon which the College was founded.

The two stars shall illuminate the academic path of the youth and the alumni's journey towards success.

In the new millennium, the MPC administration's determination and perseverance remain strong.
Through the years, the school has been consistently working hard to do its best to upgrade education
for the students through constant improvement of facilities, competent faculty, intensifying academic
courses and enriching classroom activities. The school discipline is keeping abreast with the trend in
focusing its effort in looking beyond the new millennium to give the students quality and competitive
education.
